Sandrine Holt was born Sandrine Holt in London on the 19th of November 1972. Her parents are a Chinese man as well as an French woman. As a child, she was able to move to Toronto, Canada, and has considered it her home ever since. Prior to becoming an actor she worked as a model in Paris for a modeling job on the catwalk. Annuka was her debut film appearance as a character in Black Robe from 1991. The role received nominations to win her role in the Genie Award the Canadian Oscar. Rapa Nui Rise in Paradise The Legend of Pocahontas & Dance with the Murderer, along with guest appearances in Poltergeist The Uncanny Force & Outer Limits The Unknown Dimension followed. John Woo's The Thief saw her appear in 22 of the episodes. Starship Troopers 2 Hero of the Federation and Resident Evil Apocalypse followed in 2004. The actress was also given a greater character in 24: Twenty Four, and Runaway. Holt began her acting career by playing minor guest roles as well as part-time roles in the series. In 2013, she was cast in the leading role in Hostages and was cast as a character supporting the show the Netflix series House of Cards. Holt appeared as Julie Han as part of the US remake The Returned and Dr. Bethany Exner.
